Out of the mouth of babes

As the school year winds to a close my kids come home from school and empty a years worth of papers from school out of their back packs in various places all over the house. Today I came across a journal of my son's (he is in 1st grade). He wrote a page about me. Now you may be thinking "how sweet" but wait for it................. According to my son: I like chocolates, hate sports and my favorite hobby (spelled hobe) is SLEEPING!! Well color me red!!! Does anyone else ever worry about the information your kids share with their elementary school teachers?????

Teacher Thank Yous

I made Thank Yous for the kids teachers this morning!! I attached a jar of grill seasoning to the post-card. When the kids get home they can color the image and write a note on the back. It was a fun speedy project with all the supplies coming from the scrap bin!! A big thanks to Chrissy for the images from our recent swap!!

Graduation Anya

This graduation money wallet and holder was made using my first digital stamp "Grad Anya from The Greeting Farm". The money wallet and holder was made using this great tutorial from Nichole Heady's Blog "Capture the Moment". I only have one graduation to attend this year - so a special project was in order. It was fun using the digital stamp!! Although I think a thinner paper would be appreciated by my laser jet printer, but the ink jet printer had no problems at all!!

Asian Anya

This is my card for this month's "Paper Pack" swap which was color challenge (Black, White & a POP of Color). I LOVE the Anya Stamps from The Greeting Farm. The stamps are such a great size and they stamp great!! I did not do any coloring for this card due to the Black & White theme, but I stamped a few extra and I will break out the coloring tools soon.
Next I am going to use a Digital Stamp for the first time. I downloaded "Graduation Anya" for a card I need next week-end. I can not wait to give the digital stamp a try!! Stay Tuned!!

Housework can't kill you...but why take the chance?

That is the sentiment inside this card that I made for the April Paper Pack Swap. The card turned out way different than the sketch I started with - this seems to happen more times than not. I decided not to color the image for a different look - I am not sure about if I like it or not..............

An oldie..............

This is an Archivers workshop project from many years ago. I thought I would post it while I am waiting for my post tax season creative juices to start flowing once again. This looks like a scrapbook page, but it is really a canvas on which all the paper-crafting materials have been applied. This has hung in the kid's bathroom for a long time and is now searching for a new resting place while their bathroom remodel is underway.
